The association was established to lead companies, research institutes, associations and university related with carbon industry across the nation in order to strength competitiveness in the global market, secure core technologies and build creative ecology infrastructure by revitalizing businesses of carbon material and application for the sake of nurturing carbon industry.

It also aims at creating new industry by increasing and converging carbon industry companies nationwide and raising competitiveness of global technology by utilzing carbon material called 'new dream material'.
The association plans and moves forward various projects aiming at invigorating support of carbon covergence platform by improving encouraging value-chain of carbon industry, promoting its commercialization and conducting research and development of carbon industry via industry-university-research institution collaboration.
